Description
Penticton Primary Care Maternity Clinic – located at Penticton Regional Hospital

Collegial team of Family Practitioners invites physician(s) to join them in providing superior prenatal through post-natal care in the heart of the South Okanagan.

We work in Penticton’s Primary Care Maternity Clinic (PCMC) and share low-risk obstetric call at Penticton Regional Hospital. With a new patient care tower currently under construction, we are confident that we are well placed to offer our patients the best care in the region.

We are looking for a primary care physician to cover at least 5 on-call shifts (24hr) per month. Weekday clinic days are usually scheduled to correspond with on-call shifts, to optimize physician time. In addition to fee-for -service billing, a monthly incentive is available to physicians who make a continuing commitment to the PCMC network.

Our team enjoys the support of experienced Obstetric, Pediatric and Anesthesia specialists in addition to nursing staff and dedicated community midwives and we follow the MORE OB training program.

The PCMC is the region’s only centre for primary maternity care delivery and therefore serves not only the urban communities of Penticton and Summerland but also the surrounding rural communities, including Princeton, Keremeos, Oliver, and Osoyoos.

Living here means living in a place where other people spend their vacation: with over 2,100 hours of sunshine and over 5 km of stunning beaches along both Skaha and Okanagan Lakes, Penticton is an oasis in the Okanagan Valley. More than 60 wineries and many farmers’ markets are a testament to the region’s rich agricultural heritage and growing sophistication. Famed for numerous community festivals, many more people are drawn to the area’s sporting events and amenities, including the climbing at Skaha Bluffs, the Granfondo bike races, and triathlons - plus fabulous ski resorts on the door step!

Whether you are an established local family practitioner who would like to add maternity care to your repertoire, an experienced maternity care physician looking to locum in BC’s favourite playground, or a family practitioner thinking of relocating, you will be welcomed here!
